July Jewels

Excited to report that I got back the first round of CD cover "comps" from designer extraordinaire, Joe. Ten choices - they're all beautiful. I'm blown away by the quality and the depth of the designs. I'm trying to decide between two of them, for which he used similar design techniques... yet they each give off a different vibe. Just need to sit with them for a few more days, and hopefully it will become clear which one is best for the album.

Will be receiving a mastering "sampler" from Tom via mail tomorrow or Thursday. Things continue to come together, though it is mid-July now and probably time to start thinking about a cd release party, and booking some surrounding gigs. The business of daily life sometimes gets in the way... as it should... but I have the time, still, to be looking and planning ahead. I think I'll go do some of that look-and-plan sort of thing right now.

PS. Went out to lunch yesterday with two old friends from a songwriting program I attended at Martha's Vineyard, while I was still in college... we had a lovely time. Brent with his wife Ruth, and Courtney. Great, quality people... glad to have shared that experience with them, and enjoy seeing them succeed now in their respective ventures and lives.
